A dental implant is a man-made root, usually made of titanium or zirconium, which is placed in the maxilla and it allows to replace in an aesthetic yet functional way, a missing tooth. It can be placed one per each missing tooth or several implants holding an entire denture.

A dental implant consists of 2 main parts:
- The dental implant itself, the titanium or zirconium screw, which is screwed and designed to be osseointegrated into the maxillary bone.
- The dental prosthesis is the artificial tooth, the part that we see. This simulates our natural teeth, in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Zirconium prosthesis are the top-notch quality due to their excellent aesthetics and long-lasting materials which provide great resistance.
